“Dia de los Muertos, Charra, is more of an honoring the females of the Civil War in Mexico.  The title translates to ‘day of the dead’.  This day has been celebrated for centuries, and dates back to the Aztecs.  As for the word ‘Charra’, it translates to cowgirl.  I chose to draw a “Charra” as my way of honoring the female in all.  I think there is a “Charra” in every female.” - the artist
